Barber/Stylist Program
The objective of this program is to prepare students to be licensed barbers. We provide practical and theory training.
Individual (practical) and classroom trainnig is designed to teach each student the skills and knowledge of modern barber
science and styling. Training may also include providing services requested by patrons of the bar shop/clinic area.
Our secondary objective is to prepare our students to successfully pass the licensing examination given by the Illinois
Departmnet of Profession Regulations.

Barber Teacher Program
The objective of this program is to provide licensed barbers the practical and theory training as outlined by the Barber
Teacher Curriculm. Participants in this program will train as student/teachers, training in areas such as teaching methods
and school managment. Training may include assisting instructors in floor managment and in the classroom, student assistance,
and other duties as assigned.
Refresher Course
The Refresher Course is designed for licensed barbers required by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations to
attend 250 clock hours of trainng in order to renew their barber license.
This course is also for graduates of the Barber Stylist Program who failed to pass the state licensure examination within
three attempts and is now required by the State to do additional training prior to eligiblity to take the examination for
barber license.
